Website Care keeps a website healthy: dependency and security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, small content and layout changes, and a speed check so the site stays as fast as the day it launched.
Application Support does the same for software, where the stakes are higher: monitoring and alerting, dependency and infrastructure updates, bug fixes, and a monthly block of development time for small improvements, so the product keeps moving instead of quietly rotting.
Why the two prices differ
A website mostly serves content; when something breaks, the damage is usually cosmetic and the fix contained. An application runs workflows: logins, data, integrations, background jobs. More can go wrong, failures matter more, and staying current takes real engineering hours each month. The price difference reflects that honestly.
When you can skip it
If you have in-house developers, take the clean handover: code in your repositories, infrastructure in your accounts, documentation included, and no lock-in.
